I am running the WIN32 gtrack ver W32-0.7.3-GTRACK. Is there a
specific URL for the site/server/settings?

For the login info, I am using the User ID = User ID and PIN =
password.

I entered my url but I am getting a "no connection" response.

The locatea WIN32 app is working with same setup. Therefore, it is
most likely the server address.

Is it for example www.yoursite.com/?

Any suggestions?

you would simply enter

yourdomain.com

without any http or www

or if you installed on a sub-domain you would enter

my-sub-domain.mydomain.com

I entered my-sub-domain.mydomain.com. The Gtrack window comes up and
it displays a no connection under GPS fix. Any ideas would cause it
not to connect? I can access the application just fine in browser.

Hi

Right, you are using the WIN32 application on a Desktop PC, correct
(i.e. not on a phone) ?

Correction it displays no connection in the login dialog box menu/
server/login

I enter the User ID and password then click OK. It displays
connecting... then no connection ... and the window closes.

What DO you enter as userID & PIN ? in the software?

UserID and PIN.

I created a record in demo.gtrack.co.uk WIN32 Test in the test group
and it started posting data. What server file does WIN32 use to post
the data?

So in the desktop software application you entered a userID of 30 and
a PIN of 9075... correct?

Yes. I entered UserID 30 and PIN 9075 for demo.co.uk

on my server I entered the UserID and PIN. WIN32 says no connection
in the login box. It does not connect to my server.

When you create a user on your server, go to the userID page and it
tells you the userID & PIN to enter, enter that and change the URL to
your server, it should now work.

the userID & PIN can only be numbers, and you can not decide what they
are, it tells you what they are.

Correct. That is what I have done.

I am using the userID & PIN generated by my server. I have pointed
WIN32 to the url for my server. Still no connection.

I changed it back to demo.gtrack.co.uk and it works great.

Hi,

Thanks for the URL, as discussed in the email I sent you, I'm just
replying here so others do not fall in to the same problem, or if they
do there is an answer to search for.

It seems you haven't entered the correct database settings in the

connect.php

script, which is why you get 'no-connection' error, because it can't
yet connect to your database, please make sure you 100% Read
STEP1.txt, STEP2.txt & STEP3.txt in FULL :-)
