Hi
Gtrack is designed to run on your own Linux Server that you host, it
doesn't use the google app you mention as its not free.
Hard-Wired units are still being worked on at the moment, there are a
few bugs we are fixing, when its finished and tested they will become
available again via our home page
www.gtrack.co.uk ... We won't be
selling them ourselves but will have direct links to the people who
make them.
Its easier for us as we only deal with the core software of gtrack
while the makers of the units only want to sell units.
This will improve everything as it keeps the experts in their correct
field.
Gtrack (us) will concentrate on the Web Software and become experts in
software related queries, while the makers of the units will only make
units and be able to answer/fix any hardware related bugs/queries.
Too much of my time is being used up on hardware related queries that
I can't answer because I didn't write the firmware for the units.
The good thing is, the people who make the trackers actually WRITE the
FIRMWARE for them and MAKE the entire unit, you can't get better than
this! Other tracking sites only 'sell other peoples units' and have no
control over the Firmware for the unit, and they quickly become out-of-
date.
Its a win-win situation for everyone not least you the consumer!
:-)
