Wanting to run a double batch of my RIS this year. Ferment one with a neutral strain and the other with a Belgian strain. Well these are my plans. Anyhoo, considering I'll have ~45 pounds of grain in there and with a mash thickness of 1.25 qts per pound I'll need almost an 18 gallon mash tun. Do any of you have a mash tun this size? If not, I guess I'll need to borrow one and do two mashes, which I am not really wanting to do, but will if needed. Thoughts?

I have a 10g mash tun you can borrow. (round cooler with toilet braid).  I do mostly BIAB now so the mash tun has been sitting idle.

Do you have a big enough pot (20g) for a single BIAB mash with 45# grain?  Maybe a big crawfish boil pot.

Thanks Tommy, will keep that in mind. I have a half barrel (15.5 gallons) brew pot. Will be roughly 14 gallons of wort to boil down to 12. Will be an adventurous brew day to say the least.

I have a huge (120qt) rectangular cooler that could probably be converted.  Just not sure how good it would work with a braid on that big of a cooler.
