This group has been crickets for 6 months.

Beuller?

No one brewing?

Sucks that I'll be missing the 4th party this year, considering I have a few beers I wanted to share with the club. I guess they'll have to wait until the August meeting.

Due the influx of new members in the past couple months, do they actually know about this Google group/forum? How can we get them more involved and have them ask questions about their brewing techniques. Or just brewing in general.

I initially created this for people to post questions about brewing or just general chit chat let people know what they are doing. Is there another outlet we need to setup for this? I miss that the club really doesn't communicate with each other like we used to.

I know it is most of the older GTR Brewers in this Googly group as to why I am sending this here instead of out to the entire club.

Also I worked on a spreadsheet to help me keep up with what I got brewing and how long they've been in the fermenter/kegs and so forth. It's clunky and a little time intensive. I want to streamline it a bit more. Maybe someone can give some pointers. Maybe this will help ya out. Who knows. Hopefully it attaches to this post.

Cheers,
 -Wick

I like this google groups forum. It has gone quiet, but, it has been useful in the past.

Cool idea for a spread sheet. Useful since the Beersmith software brew calendar is pretty poor.  How about some macros to add new/modify/delete beers?  A macro to add dates to my Outlook calendar with alerts would be awesome!  I may try this myself. I have always needed an excuse to make some Excel macros anyway.

I like it as well. Maybe we should be more diligent about using it for club announcements and business?

Wick, you suck for not coming to the 4th of July party...

There have been times, I've wanted to post something but wondered if people even read it. I like this because it goes to people's email. Well I am assuming that people read it.

Wonder if we could get some sort of dialog going with the newer guys in the group. Thoughts?

Yeah I know I suck, something came up this weekend and I couldn't pass it up.

One thing I like about the AHA forum is people do about me posts (I saw an about me in Jeremy"s email signature). Maybe we could do that and encourage newer members to do the same? Maybe kind of a lame idea. If so, sorry. Just brain storming.

Back to Jeremy's original post. Regarding the beer calendar spread
sheet, I added 3 buttons;add beer, update beer, remove beer.

You have to enable macros to use the buttons.

Now I have to get back to my real job...

Thanks,

It seems like most discussions happen at the meetings or email threads with the board. The forum would be much better than email. We just have to try to remember to use it. I'll do my best.

And Wickweiser... Nice!
