Has anyone else received an email from Telmex stating that they owe a very large sum and must pay it immediately or they will cut your line? It does not have the phone number listed in the message but I didn't notice this at first. The "Reply" is to mi.telmex.com -- the same as my regular messages.

Haven't received any such, but it sounds like a scam to me. I'd call Telmex and report it.

No, but it doesn't sound legit.  Often, though, they make mistakes, so i would certainly go to them and check it out.

THX2 people who responded with offers of info.
I printed the email and took to the customer service at Telmex. The rep said that she thought it did come from Telmex but was sent to me in error and should have been sent to another customer. After extensive search she couldn't discover WHAT other customer but put a notation in my record and asked to keep the copy of the email.

If it was something else I may find out, to my sorrow.
