Dear GTOC Community,
After some bumps in the road, the GTOC13 Website is now open! Thank you for your patience as we worked to make it happen.
Please visit the website at your earliest convenience to register a username for your team, as described at the website. We encourage you if possible to register before the competition starts on October 20th, but will keep the registration window open four days beyond that.
Questions may be addressed to gto...@jpl.nasa.gov, as noted on the website.
The relevant dates remain the same as previously announced:
** Problem-release date October 20, 17:00 UTC
** Solution submission period begins 24 October, 17:00 UTC
** Registration will be permitted through 24 October
** Competition End (submissions close) 17 November, 18:00 UTC
The website follows ESA's original template for 'live' competitions with a leaderboard (thank you, Dr. Dario Izzo). Currently the website contains general information about the GTOC13 logistics. On October 20th, the problem statement will be published on the site. And on October 24th, teams will be able to start submitting their solutions through the website interface, using the username(s) they registered for their team. As before, when users submit a solution, they will see the results of the solution verification that is performed automatically. Only verified solutions that improve on a team's existing leaderboard entry will be posted to the leaderbaord. At submission time, users can optionally request that their solution not be posted to the leaderboard, even if it qualifies.
We look forward to a robust GTOC edition, with our batteries fully energized over the past two years since the last edition!
Best regards,
