to Global Trajectory Optimization Competition (GTOC)
Dear all,
the workshop in Moscow was a great occasion to see the diverse methods
and ideas tried during the competition (thanks again to Moscow State
University for the brilliant hospitality).
Here are some important (administrative) points discussed:
1) The winners of the fifth edition (JPL), after a plenary discussion,
set March-April 2012 as a timeframe for GTOC6 (GET READY!!). The
competition workhsop may follow in the summer and in conjunction with
one of the AIAA/AAS conferences..... according to organizational
constraints
2) We will try to get approval to publish the results of GTOC5 in a
special issue of the journal Acta Astronautica. We should be able to
announce whether our proposal is accepted before November 2011.
