Dear all,

I have just finished to manually verify and "fix" the leaderboard. All teams are now assigned the best solution they have found in the course of the 4 weeks. In particular this affected the following teams:

MTU-UoM
NSSC-THU
The Goonies
JPL (it turned out that their last submission is actually worse than the previous one by some small digits ....)

If you find further inconsistencies, please do not hesitate to contact me,

Best Regards,

Dario Izzo

May I suggest publishing the validation code on GitHub in advance next time? That way we can all collectively fix it, just a crazy idea ;)

Not crazy at all, I also considered it, but the validation code does give away a few ideas/details that could have biased the teams strategies. Fortunately there were no bugs in the script except the NaN check which was caught early on ...

Hi Dario,

first of all many thanks for all the energy and work
you invested in this fantastic competition.

Ha!
With Dietmar I had some internal discussion how we (Team Jena) might
improve our chances for a(n even) better final result. My idea was to
think about Dario's reasoning when designing the task - and how knowledge
about this might help to find better solutions.
Dietmar did not give it a try ...

Ingo, looking forward to GTOC-10.
