You need to be able to find video game bugs and glitches. This is why
companies hired you, so if you don't do it, you're not really doing
your job are you? So if you're not doing your job, do you think that
they're still going to keep paying you? Of course their not! You need
to be able to decipher video games and find out what bugs and glitches
are disabling the gamers experience.
You must be able to write a coherent letter, or review. This is how
you're supposed to contact your company and tell them about the bugs
and glitches that you found. That's right, this career requires some
writing skills. This skill is vital to your video game tester success.
Through your writing skills, this is how companies are going to
evaluate your pay.
You have to play any video game that they assign to you. You can't be
choosy and decide that you don't want to play a certain game because
you think that it sucks. They don't care about your opinion, they just
want you to test it out and see if there are any vital bugs that need
to be fixed. That means that you might be playing the most stupidest
game in the world, but you would still have to play the whole game all
the way up until the ending level.
This is some of what video game testers do. The above is what you
should be doing, and are going to be doing when you get into this
career! So get to it!
