There are a few game testers than video game testing demand. Game
companies are hiring game testers to find bug and error before the
release date to avoid possible refund. Those game companies are
earning million of dollars in revenue. They are willing to pay you to
test their games to prevent loss in their sales if there is something
wrong with their games. If you want to become a game tester you need
sources which contain database and guide to become a game tester
successfully. Game Testing Ground has a database of 50 gaming
companies and other valuable sources.
Can you become a video game tester? Before I answer that question you
need to understand a few things. If you are willing to spend a full
whole day to test game and find bug and error on the game, then you
wouldn't have a problem to become a video game tester. If you have
been playing video game since your childhood you should be able to
understand how they function. Game companies are willing to pay you to
test their games because their game programmers would rather spend the
time to tweak and modify their own games. Testing game consumes long
hours, if those programmers spend their valuable time testing their
own games, no one will do the programming job, so these companies are
happy to spend their money to hire someone to test their video games.
You do not need a college degree or programming skill to become a game
tester. Game testers are usually people who love and enjoy playing
video games and give some advices to the game programmers. You can
become a game tester like I mentioned above but you need to know how
and where to find these gaming companies and your resume does matter
on whether you will get the job.
Game Testing Ground provides you a list of companies and led you
through the application process. But there are many game testing jobs
scams on the internet. You would have to consider wisely before you
join them. I suggest you to join well-known gaming companies like
Microsoft, Sony Corporation, EA, etc. So you won't have to worry
whether you will get paid or not.
