Parasite and pygtk programs

So parasite is an awesome tool... but the very first thing I tried to
run it on was a pygtk application, which promptly segfaulted. I've
since confirmed that it works with all non-pygtk-using apps that I've
tested, and crashes for a python file containing nothing other than
"import gtk".

I realise that there are probably issues caused by parasite's built-in
python console, etc. but I'd love to be able to use this for pygtk
apps as well.
