Adding a passenger count to board_alight.txt

Greetings,

Working with some agencies' ridership datasets, there emerges a possible benefit to adding a field to board_alight.txt recording a count of passengers onboard a vehicle. This will help situations where vehicle capacity is not known and boardings/alightings cannot determine load because it is not sound to assume a zero load at the start of the trip. Any thoughts as to this addition or workarounds to not have the addition necessary?
