In addition to the West Salem Connector, here are four of our other demand-responsive service models we use. All are reservation-based and require riders to book a trip either the day before by 5 p.m. or 24 hours in advance.
A lot of the CARTS service will likely changing with a planned service change in 2017, but it would probably still be worth modeling at any rate.
curb-to-curb service, two to three clusters of stop-based zones (3/4 mile radius from all stops in that community), travels between zone clusters on a schedule (e.g. the bus will be in Silverton from 8:10-8:30a, and then Mt Angel from 8:40-8:50a, and then Woodburn from 9:10-9:50a)
polygon-based zone, curb-to-store (brinings people in neighborhood to grocery store (similar to a scheduled bus stop) at scheduled times and brings them home)
only open to those with seniors and people with disabilities
Schedule timepoints, non-schedule stops (which fall between the scheduled timepoints), planned route (for when there are no deviations), ability to deviate 3/4 of a mile from planned route (route-based zone)
