This is one in a series of emails I'm forwarding to the new GTFS Flexible Transit Working Group. These emails make up the initial conversation that led to the creation of the working group. I'm sending them with permission of the original senders for archival purposes, allowing new participants to the conversation to get up to speed.

I do have an agenda, and will send it separately in a few minutes. Got buried under a bunch of stuff for a presentation to United Airlines tomorrow (not public transit-related!). Thanks for this input, I will incorporate it where it fits in what I already have been putting together, it is definitely appropriate.

Hi Roger,

Thanks for arranging this call and sending the invite.

Do we have an agenda for tomorrow's call?  Sorry this request is coming late -- I have been quite buried.

In particular, these are items & questions that come to the top of my mind:

  1. Purpose, scope, and context of the TCRP Quick Response work
  2. Understand Denis Haskin's Atlanta/VTCLI work
  3. Develop plan for the GTFS/DRT working group
    1. Approach, toolset, and participants
    2. How to leverage prior work
    3. Process to document needs / DRT service features
    4. Process to develop draft specification
    5. Discuss potential consuming applications
