Current status of Fares proposals

Hello,

The last post on this forum is dated 2013.

Can someone tell me if these fare proposals still progressing?

If so, what is the current status?

Hi Neil,

I don't know about the fares proposal progressing. I would be interested to know. 

I did some work on OpenTripPlanner and the related onebusaway libaries to support the product and schedule elements within the proposal.

I am still interested but as you are aware there has been no activity on this group for a while.

I think I missed this message when I was out on paternity leave.

I think the proposal doc is "done" in the sense that I an no longer working on it.  It's no where near done in the sense that none of these proposals have been officially adopted yet. How do we move forward?

The trick with GTFS is that we need someone to try out a proposal before we adopt it.  So here is my offer:

If you are a GTFS producer who wants to use one of the proposed fare model features, I am willing to work with you to implement consuming on the Google side of things.  I'm sure other GTFS developers could be involved as well.

I think this is how we move forward.

Thanks for the offer. I now have the green light from the transport operator I am involved with, to implement some of these proposals.

How would you suggest we proceed from here?
