Thank you again, Google, for hosting GTAC in Seattle this year. I really
enjoyed it and am already looking forward to next year's edition.
It is nice to see that the presentation videos are already finding their
video on to YouTube, but -- just as all the other Google TechTalks as of
late -- only in Flash format.
Back when TechTalks were published on Google Video one was able to
download the video in MP4 format for viewing them on an iPod, for
instance. I am really sad that this is no longer possible. It is a real
pain to fetch the Flash/FLV video file and then converting it to MP4.
Not only is it a hassle, but at least with the tool I tried I almost
always get audio and video out of sync in the resulting MP4.
Is there any chance that Google TechTalks can be made available again
as MP4 files? I really enjoyed watching them on my iPod on a train or on
a plane because that is where I usually find the time for this.
Thanks!
Sebastian
