Hello GTA-WWU friends & supporters!
We would like to update you on the status of our upcoming
Benefit Reception & Silent Auction and also to invite you to attend.
The auction will be on June 5th from 2:00-5:00 PM
in the Viking Union MPR at WWU. Attached is an invitation with details about
the event. More information is also available at gta-wwu.org/auction.
We just received the exciting news that Tanya Pergola, the
director of Terrawatu, will be in attendance at the event! She will be giving a
short presentation on her organization’s work in Tanzania and how GTA-WWU and
Terrawatu have been collaborating over the last two years to bring technology
to Tanzania.
The auction items include a trip to Tanzania through
Terrawatu’s People-to-People Safari program. This is an exclusive itinerary for
supporters of GTA-WWU. We will keep you updated as we get more details about
this exciting opportunity!
Also up for auction are donations from local Bellingham
businesses including Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro. We have several
beautiful art pieces by local artists as well as authentic Tanzanian wood
carvings.
