There are openings for orchestral players (and singers) in the CAMMAC reading of Charles Gounod’s Messe de St. Cecilienne on Sunday afternoon November 16. This is one of Gounod’s finest works, rivalling his better-known opera Faust and calling for a large orchestra.
At this time all players can be accommodated, though we would especially welcome brass players and strings.
See the attached announcement for details, and please register in advance with Peter Solomon peter....@utoronto.ca
Roland,
Since the reading is in three weeks, I would appreciate your circulating these to the GTA musicians in the next week. We can do another notice closer to the event.
Thanks, Peter
