Hi!

I decided to give gSync a try last night on my Familys iMac. I am
trying to setup a working family calendar that is visible and editable
at home as well as online.

Created two google accounts for me and my wife and added the google
calendar application and a calendar for each of us.

Then I downloaded gSync, installed it and ran it. I was prompted for a
Google user - and entered my wifes e-mail and password. I got an error
message about that the synchronization / communication failed. When I
watched the log panel there was more details - apparently there was a
403 HTTP access forbidden (or similar) message every time i tried to
sync.

The only calendar on my wifes Gcal account is created by her own user
- so it shouldn't be a problem with access.

Anyone seen this before and willing to point me in the right
direction?

I am running an iMac with Mac OS X Leopard

Hi Sverre,

What you should do is try again today. Gmail and Google Calendar had
some server trouble and because of that you've received the 403-error.

Kind regards,
Seb

I had the same problem yesterday and today.
Could it be that Google has changed something?

Yes, I could just fill in that I have the same HTTP 403 problem with
gSync 1.4.0. For me it started today when I tried to add a second
GMail account in gSync. It asked for the account name and password,
but followed with error.

The problem stopped once I removed the second account (by clicking the
minus sign). But when I went for gSync/Tools/Reset gSync it all went
_worse_! Now as even my first account was removed, I clicked the plus
sign to re-add it - Filled in the account name and got the #%"€%"#
HTTP 403 in the face.

I'd be more than happy for a quick turnaround fix to this as it's now
unfortunately unusable - It won't sync any calendar for me..

Well, the trouble is there still.
HTTP error 403 forbidden

I tried to delete my google accounts and reset gSync a number of
times, but whenever I readd them I am not prompted for a new password.
Isn't that a little odd?

I am evaluating the software with the intention to buy. Does anyone
here know if these kind of errors are common for gSync?

Regards
Daniel

Same problem over here. And the website of Macness is offline, I'm
afraid they stopped further support...

Yep, I guess I was lucky trying this thing out at this moment. Does
anyone here know any similar application to recommend?

I already bought gSync a couple of months ago... :-(

Spanning Sync (which is quite expensive) or BusySync or some
alternatives. Take a look at

http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/search?categoryId=3&orderBy=rating

for some other suggestions.

BusySync has worked flawlessly for months.
