Hi Matthew,

The command you ran only compresses files with .txt and .html extensions. Please try this:

python gsutil cp -z csv o:\export\1.csv gs://testdata

Hi, I'm trying to run gsutil with the -z flag but it does not seem to increase the speed of the upload... :

C:\Program Files\gsutil>python gsutil cp -z txt,html o:\export\1.csv gs://testdata
Copying file://o:\export\disk1.csv [Content-Type=application/octet-stream]...
Uploading: 69.06 MB/100.0 MB

The 100Mb file still takes the same time to upload, as if it were not compressed... Am I doing something wrong?
