Ask your prof. To ask Jeff Pruet

If that doesn't work then you can buy Stata under the GSU "grad plan"
at http://www.stata.com/order/new/edu/gradplans/gp-campus.html
Small Stata 11 is $49, you order it online then pick it up the
installation disks a day or so later in the library.

The only thing is that Small Stata poses restrictions on your data set
size and that sort of thing. If you can't get Jeff Pruett to
authorize the purchase (good chance that won't work because the
software is "available" for you on the on-campus machines), it may be
worth biting the bullet and buying a fuller version of Stata. I got
Intercooled Stata a few years ago--I think it was $395 but it was
totally worth it.

FYI - IC/Stata11 is $98 for a 1 yr license under the gradplan; $179 on the perpetual license
