calling all SAS experts

Hi all,

I'm working with a data set that came to me in SAS format and I can't open it. I don't know much about SAS. 

The error I'm getting is this:  "ERROR:  Unable to open the table "XXX".  "XXX" cannot be opened.  Do you want to select a different table to open?"

I'm having the same problem I've had with a couple other data sets from the same organization, so it may be something bigger than can be easily corrected.  But, if you know a lot about SAS and have a second and can stop by 655 (or send an email if you know what my issue is), I would greatly appreciate it. 

(Here is what I have done so far.  I found the error listed here:  http://support.sas.com/kb/19/292.html.  So, I installed the "hot fixes" it recommended from here:  http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_sbcs_prod_list.html#013122.  I installed the SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4, E9BC98 and E9CT05.  Shut down and restarted.  I'm still getting the same error message.)

I'll say in advance that it's likely I'm overlooking something obvious but any help would be greatly appreciated.  =)

Hi again,

I'm still having issues opening 1 of the 3 datasets and NSF has sent an email with a possible fix.  Is anyone around this morning that could help me run the program?  I'm warning you now that I know nothing about SAS.  =) 

We're pretty sure the disk is corrupted in some way, so it's likely it won't work, but we have to try everything they ask before they'll replace it.

I'm in 655 if anyone is here and can stop by, and I'll be here until about 12:30.
