Dear Participants of Topological K-theory,
Since the beginning of its journey, the school has only been discussing algebra and algebraic geometry but rarely touched upon some topology. Indeed, the previous series on motives and the first two parts of the current series on K-theory have been keen on exploring only the algebraic aspects of modern mathematics. And we know that you are eager to know how we discuss topology here at the school in the light of modern abstractions.
So here we are: launching lectures on topology, the first of its type in the Grothendieck school, through "Topological K-theory" (visit:
https://gstmath.in/topological-k-theory/). This is clearly a part of the ongoing series "K-theory in Totality" but is full of much more geometric insights. This part of the series will now go on until all of its three sections are over. The first lecture on topological K-theory is scheduled for this Saturday, 19th August. We look forward to your active participation in it. Please find the details mentioned below along with the abstract and poster attached. Feel free to share with friends and colleagues.
Title: An introduction to Topological Vector Bundles
