Dear Math enthusiast,

The next lecture on Algebraic K-theory is scheduled for 8th March. Visit here for more information.

In this lecture we will discuss the plus and Q-constructions to define the K-theory space of rings and see some of their properties.

This section on the Higher K-theory of Rings is independent of the first section. People who were NOT following the first section are encouraged to participate in this one.

This is an online-only event; please use the following details to join.

Series: K-Theory In Totality
Part 1 - Algebraic K-Theory
Section 2: Higher K-theory of Rings
Title: Quillen’s Plus and Q-constructions for K-theory
Time: 8th April, Saturday, 3 pm, IST
Speaker: Prof Girja Shanker Tripathi

Are you interested in advancing your knowledge of algebraic K-theory? Then don't miss our upcoming lecture today at 3 PM (IST), on the Quillen Plus and Q-construction, two powerful tools in algebraic topology with significant applications in algebraic K-theory.

You'll learn how to create new model categories and apply them to the study of algebraic objects such as rings, modules, and spectra. This will deepen your understanding of algebraic K-theory and its connections to other mathematical fields.

The Quillen Plus and Q-construction have a rich history in algebraic topology and have been used to solve many important problems. By studying these topics, you'll gain a greater appreciation for the beauty and elegance of algebraic topology.

Whether you're a beginner in algebraic K-theory or an experienced researcher looking to expand your knowledge, this lecture is for you. Don't miss this chance to explore the fascinating world of the Quillen Plus and Q-construction in the context of algebraic K-theory. Join us and let's dive in together!
