Hello Guys,

I need to build another FPGA PCIe board and rather than spend time and money on yet another dead-end proprietary CAE tool I am using KiCad.

I downloaded your HDMI2USB-TOFE-kicad-template PCIe board artwork in KiCad format.  It opens fine and looks pretty good.

Has anyone built actual PCIe boards based on these board outlines?

The only sure way to test a board layout is to build something. Can anyone comment on the readiness level of this work?

Thanks for any advice.

Hi Pedro,

You almost found the right list. The hdmi...@googlegroups.com is for HDMI2USB related discussion.

There are two boards which have been built from these templates which are in production;

 * Milkymist Compatibility - TOFE Expansion board - https://github.com/timvideos/HDMI2USB-TOFE-Milkymist
 * Low Speed I/O - TOFE Expansion board - https://github.com/timvideos/HDMI2USB-TOFE-LowSpeedIO

These boards will be shipping in the next couple of weeks (see https://www.crowdsupply.com/numato-lab/opsis/updates/2002).

These boards are in production but we haven't tested extensively for PCI Express compatibility as they are designed for use with the Numato Opsis board.

OK, I will post something if I get a working PCI Express interface going.  Regards, Pete
