open GSSC Board positions

Dear Gregory Seahurst Members,
 
It’s hard to believe that another summer has come and gone.  It seem like we only had a few weeks of swimming, barbequing, and late nights with friends.
 
As happens every year, we need to fill some vacant board positions at this year’s annual meeting (date to be announced soon--sometime in mid-November).  Three positions are open; VP, Treasurer, and Social Chair.  If you are interested in any of these positions, please e-mail either myself (ric...@comcast.net) or our Board Secretary Traci Volle (vo...@comast.net) with a short paragraph about yourself by Friday, October 22nd.  This paragraph will be published in the ballot which is mailed to our members in early November.  There is no need to go all Rossi/Murray, let’s keep it positive.
 
Brief descriptions of the available positions are as follows:
Vice President--Manages all facility maintenance and upkeep, not only during the summer season but year-round
Treasurer--Manages all aspects of the pool budget, runs payroll, pays invoices and reports on budget issues and needs
Social Chair--Organizes pool sponsored functions including but not limited to the opening party, adult party, teen party, pancake breakfast, awards banquet and closing celebration.
 
We are also saddened to report that Rick Wisen has resigned as Youth Coordinator, and we will need to fill his position.  This board member will be appointed by the board.  If you are interested, again, please contact me or Traci.
 
We are also always interested in any feedback you may have, positive or negative.  We may not always act on your suggestions, but they are always considered.
