Dear Food First Interns,

HeritageRadioNetwork.org (HRN) debuts Summer of Food, a special program giving voice to our Nation’s emerging network of student leaders. From New York to California students are heading out of the classroom and onto the frontlines of the food world, using their summer break to engage in a radical rethinking of our country’s food landscape. These students know that food can change the world, and are sharing their empowering stories to inspire action. Tune in as they deconstruct our industrial food system and think creatively about the future of food.

If you are a student leader (graduate or undergraduate level) HeritageRadioNetwork.org wants to hear from you. If you are interested in contributing, and can take 30 minutes out of your busy day to participate in a phone interview, to share your relationship with food, agriculture, and the food movement and how you are spending your summer engaging in the food system, please contact Eddie Shumard at ed...@HeritageRadioNetwork.com.

Listen to some of the student leaders who have already contributed to the series here : http://www.heritageradionetwork.com/programs/103-Summer-of-Food , While you are on the site take a look around and listen to some of our other 30 plus live weekly shows dedicated to all things food.

If you are unable to contribute but know of someone in your network who would be a good candidate please feel free to forward this information to them.  Thank you in advance, look forward to hearing from the Food First team!

Be Well
Eddie Shumard
