[Melania Galea]

Hello.

My name is Melania Galea and I am a student in Romania. I am a passionate java developer currently studying Distributed Systems. I have worked with OpenNMS for gsoc 2011 on the "Converting OpenNMS to use Hibernate" project. It was a great experience to get involved with the open source communities and work together with talented people for a common aim. 

As my technical experience goes, I have worked both with the backend and frontend sides of a software application. During my collaboration with OpenNMS I had the chance to transcend from frontend jsp files to SpringMVC Controllers and Hibernate Daos.Twitter4J is a very helpful tool for a social project, its utility to the world being the first aspect that appealed to me. I have used twitter4j to create a Twitter client application for Android and the easiness of its usage was very satisfactory. I am very excited with this project as it gives me the opportunity to enrich my present skills on java, threading, maven. 

I hope to work together this summer.
