Java Version Requirements

Twitter4J supports Java version 1.4.
But it doesn't mean that the framework should support 1.4.

OS: Windows or any flavor of Unix that supports Java.
JVM: Java 1.4.2 or later

Java 1.4.2 or later is to be used with twitter4j.

Okay, I wasn't sure, because personally I like to develop with Java 1.7,
but as a matter of fact it isn't quite as distributed as would

be preferable. For instance Java 1.7 is for Mac OS X still in the
developer preview version. That's why I was asking, whether

there are any requirements for maximum re-use for users of the framework.

Java7 if of course fun to use, but it's not that popular for production use.
1.4 is really old, but there are so many systems in production.
