Encourage our School students to participate GCI 2013

Hi Guys,

Google have just announced[1] Google Code In 2013 which is targeted for school kids who are in 13-17 ages, it will be starting from november 2013.

I have been a GCI-mentor at Fedora project last year. And I have seen many Indian kids are participating this event, but not a single sri lankan kiddo :)

I think its good to encourage our students to participate this contest since we also have great talented kids in our schools.

my 2 cents.

PS:
Yes ofcourse past GSoC alumni are welcomed to contribute back to the open source community by participating the GCI 2013 as mentors.await for the accepting org list this year and apply as a mentor. (Its not that much difficult as getting accepted in Gsoc :)

Hi Guys,

Today, I just saw that the Google Summer of code wiki page
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code) has not yet
updated with this years results, specially the top 10 schools table.
Can we update it ? for that we need all the other schools/universities
accepted count as well ? There is something to be proud as Sri
Lankans.
