Greetings everyone!

I'm Sameer and am really interested in submitting a proposal to the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation for ideas under the project: Elixir.
I'm not sure if this is how you start a conversation, please let me know if this is wrong.

I've been learning and working with a couple of functional languages lately. Namely, Haskell and Clojure. I'm letting you know of it since I saw that prior knowledge of elixir is required for the projects. But yes, I can assure you that I will do anything I can to learn elixir.

So, in order for me to submit the best proposal, I would appreciate any help that would let me know of all that I need to do to, understand the ideas better.

P.S: I've got some professional experience developing apps with JS, HTML and CSS.

Welcome!

If you are interested in learning Elixir, the website is a great place to get started. You can either follow the tutorial there OR get one of the many learning resources available.

About GSoC, there are many projects participating under the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation, so the next step here is to explore the ideas on the wiki (or your own) and then follow up with here or with the mentors directly the ones that interest you the most.
