GSoC 2019 Preps

Hi everyone,

Google Summer of Code 2018 just ended. We're preparing for GSoC 2019 and would like to start discussions on here. The goal is to get more people from Africa involved and help them successfully complete their projects.

For getting into GSoC:

1. The first step should be to find your area of interest. Try various things/technologies and find your interest.
   
2. Search open source projects based on selected area/technology.
   
3. Start contributing in these projects. Join the mailing list, slack, IRC channel of organizations and ask mentors for any kind of help.
   
4. Submit proposals for same projects/organizations to which you have contributed.
