I was able to get the following update on how Rob's swim went from a mutual friend and thought I'd pass it along:

"The swim ended up being kind of brutal - somewhere there the current changed and big swells picked up.  Their guide boat could not stay close due to the waves.  Rob said the captain was amazing at steering though and knew just what to do for support.  It took 7+ hours.  Rob said they had to come in at a different beach. He said he threw up once he put his feet down.  After the mandatory time on the beach, his friend said time to swim 200 yds back to the boat and Rob refused several times.  he said it was the hardest/longest 200 yds - haha!  He said he's bit the bug now and wants to do more of the inter-island swims.  "

I used to live out there. I'm assuming Rob swam to Molokai which is visible from the beaches on the SE coast of Oahu, windward side down to Makapuu Beach or so if my memory serves me. The currents and wind effects between the islands in the channel are absolutely brutal. I'm so impressed with Rob Murray's effort here. Even proud just to know him. It's a monumental effort to take a paddleboard (not sup) across. Thanks so much for letting us know about this Nemo. What a friend you are to us all.

Sorry, meant to say it's hard enough to take a paddleboard across let alone swim it. Geez...
