Saturday Ride

ok it's on , we are going to Hatteras village Sat Am. WE will leave Chips shop @ 6am so be there wheels down to roll so we can beat the heat . After last Saturday 's recon there isn't much traffic going that way early in the Am so we will be ok just make sure you bring a tail light for extra safety.

Also I need to know who all other than Nemo, Jim , Chuc V, myself and Butch are going so we can plan for return drive back with trucks to carry everyone that will not want to ride back. Once we are back @ Old Nags Head we can unload and ride more back in to Chip's shop.

If you do not know where the shop is it is located @ MP 8 @ Collington Rd, you will see the grey building on the East side.

Let me know by Fri afternoon so we can plan enough trucks PLEASE.

just so you know, there is a bit on construction on pea island but should not be too big an issue early..most of the traffic then will be headed north.  also, the forecast is good for kiting on saturday (meaning strong winds out of the SW).  So be prepared for headwinds.

Campy,

I'm a 16-18mph average biker on something over 50 miles. While my IM training for Saturday calls for 4.5 hours biking.... if there is no "B" group going around that speed I should drop out. Plus I may only have a TT bike on Saturday (though I have done group rides from Bonnett St. just using the base handlebar).

If there is a "B" group, I can leave my truck at Whale Bone Junction, join as you go by & leave from there on the trip back.
