Dear Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to our upcoming session “Climate Data Homogenization and Analysis of Climate Variability, Trends and Extremes” (CL 5.3) at EGU´s General Assembly 2025 (EGU25), taking place in Vienna, Austria from 27 April-2 May 2025.

Our session seeks contributions on rescuing and generating observational climate datasets, such as those from reanalysis and satellite observations, and applying these for climate monitoring and climate analysis. In contrast to previous years, our session at EGU 2025 will be an oral session including a poster block.

Because of you involvement in creating and analyzing datasets of Essential Climate Variables, for example through one of the CGMS Working Groups, we would like to encourage you to submit an abstract to our session. Abstract submissions are accepted until Wednesday 15 January 2025 at 13:00 CET (EGU25 - Home)

We hope to have drawn your attention for our EGU session, and see you next year at EGU25.
