Dear all,
I have set up a web meeting of the GSICS Microwave Sub-Group to follow-up on the discussion at the annual meeting related to our requirements for web-based plotting tools: “MWSG to review functionality of ICVS and feedback requirements for GSICS plotting tool”
21 May 2026 11:00-13:00 UTC – Check your time zone here.
(I have scheduled it for 2.5h, but hope to be finished within 2h.)
Teams link is given below.
Details of the agenda will follow the week before the meeting.
Meanwhile, I would ask in advance that you prepare your thoughts on what we should plot and how. For this, I would encourage you to take a look at the current functionality of the NOAA/NESDIS/STAR’s Integrated Cal/Val System (ICVS): https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/icvs/comparison_ATMS.php.
Cheers,
Tim

Dear all,
We recently held a web meeting of the GSICS Microwave Sub-Group to review the requirements for plotting tools.
We compiled a list of requirements for the Instrument Performance and Inter-Calibration Monitoring of microwave radiometers and agreed the priorities for each, which are summarised on this page on the GSICS website:
I would say these requirements are not specific to microwave instruments, but the priorities may vary by spectral region. So we could consolidate this list with other sub-groups and consider asking all GSICS agencies to provide publicly-accessible tools to provide these functionalities.
Best regards,
Tim
