Why is there a difference terms used between desktop programs and websites. On websites, the term AVE is used, while on desktop programs, the term is PVE?

We prefer PVE over AVE because we think PVE is computed based on component loadings, which is more consistent with component-based SEM. On the other hand, AVE has been computed based on factor loadings, which aligns with factor-based SEM. We have not updated the web software gesca for a while. We focus on updating GSCA Pro.

I read your articles: (1)GSCA Pro—Free Stand-Alone Software for Structural Equation Modeling, and (2) A primer on integrated generalized structured component analysis.
Both articles explained that PVE is used for Measurement model with components (formative), and AVE value is used for Measurement model with factors (reflective).
Meanwhile, in GSCA Pro output there's only PVE value.
I just want to confirm: do we have to count the AVE manually? or we can use the PVE result as AVE value?
