Garden State Cultural Association cordially invites you with your family and friends to participate in our 2012 Durga Puja Celebration. Durga Puja will be held on Saturday, October 20 & Sunday, October 21 at Plainfield High School, NJ.
This is the time of the year when Bengali community comes alive in every corner of the world to celebrate the “Sharod-Utsav”. In addition to its religious element, the festival acts as a cultural platform for the Bengalis. We are delighted to tell you that keeping with the tradition of GSCA, there will be an array of attractive cultural programs by top performers from Kolkata and USA.
Cultural Program Highlights:
· Performance by Hidayat Hussain Khan (son of Late Ustaad Bilayet Khan), he will
be performing fusion with his band
· Drama by Deboshree Roy troupe performing "jatra"
· Performance by Lopamudra Mitra
· Dance performance by Nritya Madhavi - winning team of Baisakhi Dance

We will celebrate Mahasasthi, Mahasaptami, Mahaashtami, Sandhi, Mahanabami, & Dashami Puja, with Pushpanjali, Arati, Prasad, Bhog, Dinner, Arts and Crafts competion for the kids and much more.
As always, there will be a lot to do for adults and kids. Come and join the fun!
Pre-registration for Durga Puja will begin soon. Please note that there will be
early bird and senior citizen special discounts (new category introduced this year) and reduced children's (6-18) early bird rate this year. Take advantage of early bird discounted rates and to avoid "full-capacity" notice.
