This year's Summit will explore how information technology has the potential to be a lightning rod for disruptive change in the healthcare field. Highlights include:
- Opening keynote address - Mark Bertolini, CEO of Aetna, on Reinventing the Health Insurance Business
- Closing keynote discussion - The Future of Healthcare with Vinod Khosla, Founder of Khosla Ventures and Abraham Verghese, Professor for the Theory and Practice of Medicine at the Stanford School of Medicine, facilitated by Robert Pearl, Executive Director and CEO of The Permanente Medical Group
- Conference sessions - Three interactive panels on (1) Recasting the Patient as Consumer, (2) Rethinking Care Delivery, and (3) Revitalizing Healthcare Innovations
