Cycling: want to be on the list?

So didn't get a lot of takers on the donkeys, but hoping the next sporting offer will be more enticing: if you're interested in cycling (already know how or want to learn), email me and I'll add you to the cycling list that's getting started (we won't spam the rest of you anymore).

 

There are some great rides around here and I know a few of us have been exploring this week with friends.  Wanted to open up the offer to the rest of the GSB to see if we could get our own peloton going.  Likely no herculean feats until after ski season, but short rides around PA/Los Altos Hills are definitely in the cards (hopefully followed up by beers at the Alpine Inn or burritos at LuLu's).  I also have an extra Cannondale that people can borrow (5'5"-5'8") who are thinking about getting into cycling, but not quite ready to commit.

 

Also, for those cyclists who are new to the Bay, there is routing software you can download at http://www.klimb.org/klimb.html . Nothing too special and no iPhone app, but helpful for those wanting to plan longer rides and or find vertical.

Regarding the jersey, there are some ones very very nices at the bookstore, but they cost $80...

And for biking/treking there is also an interesting app for the iphone, I think the name is something related to 'the north face'.
