Hope everyone is getting settled in and excited!

As I mentioned to a bunch of you, I'm helping plan a charity event in
San Francisco on Friday, the 17th. It's a cocktail event to support
the 49ers Academy, a charter school in East Palo Alto that serves some
of the poorest local areas. The event will have an open bar sponsored
by Gordon Biersch, Gallo Vineyards, and Camarena Tequila, as well as a
live band and a great silent auction.  It's at Ft. Mason, right on the
water in the north of SF.

I've got my ticket already along with a number of second years, and if
enough people are interested we can set up transportation to and from
the event.  Tickets are $80 for the next couple days, then go up to
$100 on Monday.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and hope you can join -
it'll be a great event and a great chance to see SF for all of you who
haven't been.  I'm going to send a note out to our whole class as soon
as I get to campus, but wanted to get this out to all of you guys
first. See you in a few days!
