Dear Distributor,
As a part of our DE duplication exercise to weed out the multiple /duplicate/fake/ghost connection etc. the MOP&NG has advised OMCs to collect the data as per the KYC form from existing as well as the new customers . The KYCfor recently circulated by HQO which may go a certain additions/deletion which is being finalized by OMC.
Considering the above requirement OMCs Developing the process . Such exercise shall also benefit the distributors as well as will facilitate smooth role out of the various proposals of Capping of subsidized Cylinders, Direct Transfer of Cash Subsidy , Adhaar Enabled payment system etc.
Following methodology is being considered:
1. Printing of KYC format by OMCs ,
2. Forms will be handed over to distributors,
3. Distributor in turn will arrange for hand delivery KYC forms, getting an acknowledgment that the customer having received the KYC form,
4. Distributor shall collect the filled KYC form either through the delivery boy or the customer may be requested to arrange the delivery of the same along with Documents of POI and POA and any other document he/she wants to share as per KYC Form.
5. Distributor shall verify the documents and certify the same, SOs will carry out random check for such verified data,
6. The duly filled and certified KYC form along with POI and POA will have to be handed over to and appointed third party
7. The third party service provider will for digitize and the documents , scanning the documents and seeding the same in DCMS customer master data through a software application.
8. The data will be again verified with the old existing customer data for validation using certain application tool on matching.
Please chalk out a plan and inform your respective Sales Officer & Regional Office about the same. We would like to commence the exercise as early as possible. It should be imperative that the quantum of exercise is massive, therefore, extreme caution and discretion would be required to not to give an impression of some sort of harassment to the customer. You may start the job on AREA - WISE basis, covering them one by one OR in a form of Mela on weekends. As advised, please inform the Regional Office about your Plan of Action for our reference.
