Points discussed at the meeting on 27-05-2007 at Saileshbhai's resi.

Dear All,

Hello everybody, first of all thanks to Saileshbhai & Aartibhabhi for
a wonderful lunch.

As per yesterday's meeting following points were discussed among the members:

* Finalisation of the Committee members, Application Form and Covering Letter.
* Draft of the letter required for the Chief Minister.
* Procedure for the formation of the Samaj with the Indian Embassy.
* First programme of G.S.J.
* Planning for the future programmes.

* Members who had wished to step down were requested to stay on board
at least for next one year.The executive as well as the working
committee was finalised and all the members will take up the
responsibility to make the G.S.J. achieve its goals.
Mr. Rajesh Pandya who was supposed to be in our working committee is
for the moment kept on hold until we have our first function of G.S.J
& all our members get to know him....

* The changes needed in the application form & the Introductory letter
were finalised & necessary changes are to be made by Devesh & Atulbhai
Parekh respectively as soon as possible so that it could be send over
to everybody.

* We would like all of committee members to recommend names of people
whom we need to make Honorary Members of the G.S.J. Some of the names
were suggested from :
State Bank Of India
Bank of India
Air-India
Mr. Mani
Mr Naresh Mantri
Mrs. Kothari

above are a few names that we could think of, if we could think of
someelse please recommend.

*Also we need to find ways to make Samaj get some recognition. like as
on 15th August we can give advertisement in newspaper as to wish
everybody Independence Day, etc. Also need recommendations as to where
& how can we make a mark of G.S.J. as people would become more aware
of it.

* There were some suggestions to have dinner, picnic, cricket matches
between Kansai & Kanto teams. These again are some of the future
programmes that can be given a thought once we have all the
memberships finalised & these programmes can be done for the members
of G.S.J.

* Also when, & what should be our first function of the G.S.J ? There
was a suggestion to get Mr. Parthiv Goyil who is a celebrity in India
& very famous in Gujarat who was winner of some reality show. ( Need
to have more information...about him )
