Hey all, hope you're well.

The UX bookclub/meetup group for UX Washington DC UX Book Club is discussing one of the books we talked about, Don Norman's Design of Everyday Things. How nice a dovetail!

If you're interested, this is their most recent missive:

Thanks again to everyone who came out last night to chat about Karen McGrane's Content Strategy for Mobile. We had a great chat and Karen gave us a fantastic Q&A.

Before we wrapped up, we picked Don Norman's Design of Everyday Things for our February book. It's a classic and a great choice. However, he's releasing a new edition with fresh examples and illustrations in August. It's nearly thirty years old, so I'm suggesting we save this book for the summer when there's an updated version.

I've set up a poll for you to vote: read the old version now OR wait for the new version this summer. Vote at the meetup site: http://www.meetup.com/Washington-DC-UX-Book-Club/polls/715542/. Be sure to vote before Monday morning so we can grab a new book!

Thanks!

Andrew

PS If you weren't able to join us, be sure to check out Karen's latest presentation on her website: Uncle Sam Wants You (to Optimize Your Content for Mobile).
