Hi, I have been struggling with resetting my ABS warning lights on my ’98 K1200RS (ABSII).  There doesn’t seem to be any way except with the dealer computer and there’s no dealer here in West Texas.  Is there any plan to add this ability to the GS-911 anytime soon?  I would pay a reasonable software update charge.

Thanks, Tom Holly

It’s high on the priority list…

WOW! I'm going to try this tommorow on my 2000 R1150GS. I bought the GS911 specifically to do this reset onlt to find the GS911 isn't up to the task, yet.

Thanks,

Cool! I tried the reset yesterday on my 2000 R1150GS. I followed the easy instructions and rode the bike. It didn't work the first time. I may have released the ABS button and shut off the key simultaneously. I tried it a second time and it took. When I pulled away I heard a "clunk, clunk" and the ABS lights went out.  I nailed the rear brake and the ABS kicked in. Then I nailed both brakes and the ABS worked. Great! Thanks for the info. As a plus, now I know why my friends 02 GS Adventure makes the same sound upon pulling away for the first time after a start or restart.

I had bought the GS-911 as a nice tool to have but specifically to do the reset on the GS. As we know, it's not up to the task yet, but the software update on the GS-911 is a priority.
Meanwhile I do think the GS-911 is a great tool. I used it on my '06 R1200RT to rease codes.

As Jos pointed out, this is high on our priority list - as a matter of
fact that's what we're currently working on! There is a lot more info to
be gotten out of the ABS-II - contrary to what everyone believes... and
resetting the fault codes is done completely through software, so no
need for ABS buttons or wiring in pin#21 of the controller... simply,
plug in, read Ecu info, fault codes, and clear the fault codes!

If there is anyone wanting to Beta Alfa test the ABS-II functionality,
pls send us an email to support@, then we'll notify you as soon as we
have a release candidate ready for your testing.

best,
Stephan
