I know how to bleed regular brakes. What is the procedure for
bleeding the ABS brakes with the GS911?

As far as I know, no difference, I bleed my K1200RS with ABS numerous times, with the same procedures, I was coached by the mechanic for California Highway patrol BMW training bikes at sacramento city colleage motorcycle repair class.

On some of the servo assisted systems there's a world of difference!!! The particular bikes I'm on about have two circuits, a 'control circuit' and a 'wheel circuit' - eg the fluid in the handlebar resevoir NEVER touches the fluid in the calipers, for want of a better desription... Don't get involved unless you know what you're doing!!

ADVrider has a Hall of Wisdom which has several writeups that deal with this.

Bobcatou - The F650 web site FAQs have all the info you need for this. But, I'm guessing you want to know how the GS911 will help you activate the ABS unit (without slamming on the brakes..my way to do it and then bleed again) so you can do it in one step. Right?

I know how to bleed the ABS without the GS911. (bleed, ride bike hard
to activate abs, then bleed again) I was looking for a more detailed
procedure for bleeding with the GS911. From what I have heard, I
bleed the brake, Cycle the ABS vis GS911 (with everything tighten up
and closed) then bleed again. (Repeat till no more air is in the
line. I just don't want to break anything being the first time doing
this with ABS

all depends what bike model you are referring to?

currently the only abs bleed function that is supported in GS911 is for
ABSN (which covers F650GS single cylinder and C1 models) - and that
procedure is detailed on the pages...

let me know if anything is unclear in the description itself.

best,
Stephan
