F 800GS 2014 PROBLEMS WITH ABS

Hello

Has anyone in the group ever had an incompatibility case?

I had an 800GS in my workshop, because I had a problem with the ABS module (25484: Pressure modulator: Pump motor), here in my country it's almost impractical to buy a part of these new ones (IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE), we get another module of a motorcycle Who suffered an accident and was given as total loss by the insurance company.

It occurs that after installation, when you plugged the GS 911, it presented an error (25536

Incorrect variant coding of the control unit), making the tests with the 911 everything works perfectly is even possible to erase this error, but the Panel light for the ABS stays static, and when the ignition is turned off and on, the error returns and the function ABS is lost.

Hi,

This can happen when unit is taken from another motorcycle. ABS unit and the motorcycle do not recognise each other, hence the fault.

The BMW dealer should be able to fix this, can be challenging sometimes.

You could  also consider only swapping  the hydraulic part of the ABS unit and leave the electronics module the same.

It's a possibility, but the dealer does not want to make the configuration, because the piece was not acquired with them ..... That's Brazil !!!!

In this module, this is not possible to do, in fact I tried to change only the pump motor and it was not possible ...... they are not like the previous ones that it was possible to withdraw the engine from one and move to the other.

Since it was the ABS pump motor that failed - you might try leaving the
pump and motor assembly from the new (used) one in place and install the
electronics box from the broken one onto the new one. The coding is done
in the electronics box - so if you install the one made and matched to
the bike, everything should work.
