Gruvin Board v4.1, FrSky, Open9x what do I need for voice?

Hi guys.

I have Gruvin gruvin9x v4.1 PCB, SD Card and Programmer in my Turnigy 9x installed the speaker from the smartphone connected to the speaker connector. I have tried to flash my TX with voice option in Companion9x with no result. My question is: in order to use the firmware with voice do I need to rewire something or Gruvin Board already has all the hardware needed?

Also could you help me with the vibration motor. I have the motor from XBox joystick (there are two of them one big and one small) and both have exactly the same connector as the board requires. It will be easier to fit small motor in the TX. Have anybody tried these already? Unfortunately I can't read any specs from the motor. For some reason the Haptic option has no settings in my TX, is this normal?

Hi all,

I just realized that Haptic is a category that has sub-menus and my motor is working fine but I have another question: is there any possibility to use vibro as an on board low voltage alarm instead of sounds Yel Red etc.?

Still have no clue how to make voice working. Please point me in the right direction.

Hi,

To make the gruvin9x board talk you need the addition of a second board.

The pictures are slightly out of date in that they don't show the reset
wire that I added a few revisions ago. I will update them soonest and
let you know when I have.

As for the battery warning, I don't think their is a way to make it
haptic, bit of an omission really now you mention it. I'll have words.
