Hey!

It's been awhile since I've worked on my 9x.
Yesterday I started my 9x gruvin mode, and all was all right. I tried to do something with my frsky settings and suddenly screen went out.

I've restarted 9x several times. Reconect the connectors on board. Still nothing.
Does anybody came across that problem. It may be the lipo battery wich was not charged for several months. Light for frsky and its buzzer work.

I reflashed software with companion. still nothing.
O, and my lcd lightning is not working from beginning. Not since I pluged it to gruvin board.

That's a lot of issues in one chunk. :-P

In short, no. I doubt anyone else has had that specific problem.

You're going to need to get a volt meter on the the battery terminals to see if there really is enough power.

I'll assume the back light was carefully wired per the notes in the v4.x FAQ on the project site. It does NOT just come on automatically. You have to set the menu option for back light in SETUP.

You should be using the open9x for gruvin9x board firmware, also. NOT the gruvin9x firmware -- though that would not cause these problems -- you'd just be hideously out of date. (We're removing gruvin9x from companion9x, I think.)

That said, assuming the battery voltage and the correct firmware is loaded ,if the display is still blank, then something electrical must be wrong on the board. You could post it back to me to look over, which I would happily do -- replacing it if needed. But perhaps you could check a few more things locally first. (Also be aware that Christmas is coming soon and so the international postage scene is going to slow waaaaay down shortly, if past years are anything to go by.)

Last but not least -- almost no one uses this discussion group any more. It might be time to check  out http://9xforums.com.

Gruvin.

"enough power" being at least ~7.4V in practice, with power on.

I'm ill, with fever and all. So may not be replying to anything over the next few day. (Today is day one. Things got worse for my wife when she had this. Hmmm. :-/ )
