Dear all,
I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. It's been over two-month locked-down in Milan, mostly spent working during the night time in order to take care of my 2-year son in the daily hours, at times feeling frustrated for what it looks like a never ending battle.
However, I now return to you all with a good news about the Special Issue on Ethnographic Accounts of Personal Networks: the Italian journal Etnografia e ricerca qualitativa (Ethnography and Qualitative Research) has accepted our proposal!
First of all, please find the accepted proposal in annex. Please reread the introduction before starting to prepare your manuscripts. There are a number of elements (novel conceptualizations to disclose personal networks in urban contexts and insights on the toolbox of material, discursive, and sociospatial strategies and practices) I wish you to take into account.
As to the form and length of manuscripts, I proposed to go for different types of contributions within the referred length indicated by the journal, as you can see from the contributors diagram at page 3.
I have set 1 September 2020 as a deadline for internal submissions. This implies that you send your manuscript to me
by then, after which I give you a friendly review. After that we'll all have to proceed to the official submission on the OJS journal platform at:
https://submission.rivisteweb.it/index.php/erq/login (clic "Register")
by the end of September 2020.
With the journal editorial board we plan to get published in the February 2021 issue. I hope that five months will be sufficient to get prepared your articles for the first round of reviews. Talking about reviewers, the journal also asked me to suggest a couple of names for each article that will be integrated by other journal reviewers. If you have already somebody in your mind please send me your names through a private email message.
